The literature on ambient medication intelligence is one foundational paper deep. Founding sites are the academic medical centers that will write the rest — with co-authorship, real data, and evaluation design shaped by the people who run the studies.
What a founding site gets
- A research agenda worth publishing. Recognition accuracy, documentation burden, reconciliation discrepancy rates, 340B capture, provider experience — open questions, each designed to produce a paper.
- Co-authorship as policy. Partners take the publications. The science stays rigorous because careers depend on it.
- An IRB pathway we've already mapped. Our NIH STTR work with the University of Washington means the consent, data-use, and review questions have answers, not improvisation.
- Evaluation design you shape. Early evaluation of AI systems is its own discipline — small-scale, safety-focused, human-factors-aware. Investigators shape the studies from the first design conversation.
What we ask
A named investigator or clinical lead, a reason to care about one of the open questions, and an agreed next step. That's the whole entry bar. Evaluation design comes first; formal pilots follow.
