Operis Health, Inc. builds ambient medication intelligence for the operating room: smart glasses and on-device AI designed to recognize medication vials and syringes and produce the medication record automatically, with nothing asked of the clinician. The camera watches the tray, not people. Operis was founded in 2026 by the team behind Vigilant, the anesthesia labeling company serving many of the largest U.S. health systems, and its validation research is funded by an NIH STTR award from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering in partnership with the University of Washington, extending peer-reviewed work published in npj Digital Medicine; Operis also funds a research collaboration at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science. Operis is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
